Warung Roadside is the creation of husband and wife team Trevor Lombaer and Sutathip Aiemsaard. The couple met in Sutathip's native Bangkok while Trevor was studying the local cuisine back in 2016. Trevor fell madly in love with the food and the girl and the couple returned to the US on a mission to recreate the vibrant flavors of Bangkok's incredible street food scene on the streets of New York.

The name Warung Roadside is inspired by the Indonesian warung, a family run roadside stall that serves as an essential part of daily life, much like a corner bodega. What started as a small Pad Thai pushcart operating in the back of Bed Stuy Bar, Project Parlor, has grown into a thriving food truck and catering operation that was nominated for a Vendy award in 2017 and has been featured in several press outlets like Gothamist, Eater, the NY Post and AM New York. Crowd favorites like Holy Basil Stir Fry and Bangkok Street Style Pad Thai are mainstays on the menu accompanied by rotating weekly specials featuring in season ingredients.

The name Warung Roadside is inspired by the Indonesian warung: a family run roadside stall that serves as an essential part of daily life, much like a corner bodega. What started as a small pushcart  grew into a food truck and catering operation that delighted NYC's Thai food enthusiasts for 5 years.

The couple sold the truck in 2022 as they move on to their first brick and mortar - Little Grenjai - a fun takeout spot and general store, with delivery to most of Brooklyn.
